Extruders

The ULTRA R/S Extruders for Rubber are fixed horizontal extruders that range from 1 to 4.5 inches in diameter. You can choose vented or non-vented, and each comes standard with electric heat and bolt-on cast aluminum double-pass water cooling.

Graham Engineering also offers temperature control units for screw and head tooling that can be mounted and pre-plumbed to the base of your customized machine. Applications for this unit include tubing, automotive profiles, sheet, and wire & cable — to name a few.

Customized for Your Needs

At Graham Engineering, our first priority is to provide our clients the highest quality product. That’s why, in addition to our standard extruder designs, we also offer special extruder and base configurations upon request so you get exactly what you need to produce your end product.

You’ll love the proprietary power hinge roller feed assembly that opens with a push of a button for total access. The feed roll itself is independently driven with an AC vector or Servo motor, which is connected to the inline helical gearbox, of which the operator has speed and torque control.

Controls

The speed and torque control are also independent of the screw speed, providing maximum process control. That eliminates the need for a clutch-type system and reduces maintenance costs. The extra-wide feed opening gives you more flexibility for processing. And the hardened and chrome-plated roll is easily cleaned or removed for service, which is available 24/7.

Graham Engineering also includes temperature control zones with a flow indicator, solenoid valve, and meter valve, which is pre-piped to the cooling system. But special cooling system designs are available upon request.
