In 2015 Blow Molded Specialties Inc. purchased a new 10- pound Graham Engineering Hercules® accumulator head blow molding press, along with two new portable Fanuc robot trim stations.

“Our goal is to provide robust, innovative solutions from the blow molding process that allow our customers to drive their overall cost down,” said BMS President Doug von Arb. “We are already providing various fuel and hydraulic tanks with complex shapes, multiple ports and assemblies that are used in demanding construction and agricultural applications. Graham Engineering’s spiral flow diverter design helps support the BMS goal of continuing to improve throughput.”

BMS has presses that range in size from 2 to 60 pounds, and can make parts up to 50 inches in width and 10 feet in length. It’s not uncommon for BMS to perform production run sizes in quantities ranging from 250 to 20,000 parts, and these new presses and robotic trim stations allow for even more flexibility and improved throughput.
