Title: Benchwork/Assembler

Department: Birdsboro Operations
Location: Birdsboro, PA
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Perform finishing operations and tasks on completed mold sets to ensure precision and accuracy to specifications from customers using various methods including, but not limited to, the use of hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices.

Responsibilities and Priorities:

• Bench working using various forms of metal working media
• Ability to sandblast
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Mechanical knowledge of bolting sizes and configurations to assemble tooling.
• Performs part inspection with common measuring tools (i.e., Part probe, micrometer, calipers,etc.).
• Performs all work procedures in accordance with safety and ISO Standards.

Job Qualifications:

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years trade school diploma required or 2+ years college in a technical discipline.
Experience
• Prior work with industrial tooling and molds.
• Prior experience using hand tools, industrial equipment, etc.
• Other prior mechanical experience in an industrial fabrication environment is preferred.

• Must be familiar with using MS Office and Outlook.

• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. (consistently)
• The incumbent must be able to effectively utilize a variety of hand and power tools and computer peripherals, climb ladders, and lift up to 40-50 lbs. (consistently); up to 70 lbs (occasionally)
• Must be able to effectively wear or utilize all required PPE (as required for job/specific task)
• Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour to 10-hour shift (consistently)
• This position requires a high degree of mobility, including reaching and working above the head, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching side-to-side, and twisting. (intermittently)
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. (continually)
