Reciprocating Screw
The GEC RSM Series incorporates many improvements when compared to the standard technology of yesterday's machine line systems.

The RSM machine hydraulics, manifold design, head design, clamps, true quick exhaust, take away arms, cooling bed design and four platen design trimmers, have yielded a machine line system that is unsurpassed in productivity and efficiency.

For the production of lightweight - single trip dairy, water, juice, household chemical containers and industrial parts. The GEC RSM Series, today's standard for Reciprocating Screw Machinery.

Swing Arms
GEC has engineered and built the take away arms with as much aluminum material as possible allowing the take away arms to require less hydraulic pressure to operate.

Benefits:

  • Better heat conductivity
  • Lighter assembly
  • Safer

Cooling Beds
GEC engineered cooling beds are available in 8, 10 and 12-foot lengths.

Cooling beds have large diameter and heavy-duty push rods, safety step crossovers and reverse directional capability.

*Length is determined by application and space availability

Benefits:

  • Heavy duty cooling conveyor without cost penalty for length

Pick & Place
GEC has designed a Container Pick and Place Unit that is an integral part of the GEC trimmer.

The unit mechanically transfers the containers from the cooling bed into the trimmer for deflashing.

The unit utilizes ball screw technology and is driven and controlled electrically, while utilizing air for vacuum.

This unit is highly recommended for rectangular, oval and square containers that are not on a diagonal parting line.

Benefits:

  • Higher production efficiencies
  • The unit is quick
  • More reliable
  • Provides greater accuracy
  • Lower maintenance requirements

Trimmers
GEC designed and built trimmers are available in three different models (24 -18, 24 -24 and 24 -32).

The model number relates to the clearance distance between the tie bars for tooling mounting.

Containers can be de-flashed from one to six per index depending upon application.

The extra platen on the GEC trimmers absorb the inertia from a container jam, so damage to trim tooling and chain stretch is virtually eliminated.

The GEC trimmers are the quietest and smoothest trimmers available in the market today.

Benefits:

  • Four Platen Design
  • Large end sprockets
  • Unique carrier support
  • Reverse direction capability
  • Roller chain bucket carrier support
  • Long dwell gear box with large cam followers
